DRC365 #226

Medication. One of the health centres we visited showed us their pharmacy. Apart from TB medicine and malaria treatment kits this is all they had. Half a bottle of paracetamol tablets. The centre serves 6,000 people in its vicinity. When they need other medicines they go to the market to try and buy whatever is available. I was both humbled and shocked by their minimal provisions. We often take health for granted until we get sick, and it came as a suprise to see that a health centre had less than my first aid kit.
