DRC365 #128

Today I flew back to Goma, leaving the Congo river behind. This great body of water provides the entire country with lush green forest. The river runs for 2,920 miles and crosses the equator twice. It is the world’s deepest river (220m in places). It is the second largest river in the world (after the Amazon) and the lifeblood of DRC, for trade, travel and water supply.
