Home is where the heart is. I spotted this little house in a village, with its charming yet simple decoration. The family fled as refugees to neighbouring Tanzania in the 1990s, and returned in 2008 hoping to resettle back ‘home’. Instead they found nothing was left after the conflict and they had to rebuild their house, livelihood and community. More conflict followed leading to hardships for the family, trying hard to make ends meet. Years later the village has found its place and this family have made it home.
