DRC365 #57

Education for all. This principal of a school in eastern DRC believes so profoundly and passionately that every child should have access to an education that she has created new ways for them to come to school. Set in a poor, isolated, rural area, not every parent can afford school fees. No matter, there is another option. Payment in kind is accepted at this institution and children can bring firewood, crops, and even small livestock such as rabbits or Guinea pigs in place of paying cash. More and more children are attending and the school is growing. They have now set up a kiln to bake bricks and have elaborate plans for an extension to the school building.
