Over the hills and far away. Today was a strategic meeting crossing borders, not only physically into Rwanda for the discussion, but also sharing stories and challenges with colleagues visiting from South Sudan. Conflict-ridden countries have captured our hearts and constantly challenge our thinking. It was an opportunity to problem-solve and tackle common issues, breaking down boundaries to find a way forward that will build a better future. Sometimes constant obstacles can wear us down, we become cynical and jaded. Commiserating with others was encouraging in a way, we face some of the same battles and feel a sense of camaraderie joining with others in similar situations. The seriousness was punctuated with positivity, and even laughter, forming firm friendships that will help to support one another on this journey.
