I have discovered how to make yoghurt here in Chad.
Very simple really, powdered milk, water and some yoghurt. The first batch I used some yoghurt from the supermarket, mixed up a couple of cups of milk, stirred it all together, covered it and put it on the roof for the day.
As the evening cooled I went up and checked on my experiment. It didn’t look like much but I put it in the fridge overnight and found that it had transformed into delicious yoghurt.
The second and third batch were just as good, and even the dubious stares from my colleagues as I carried a mysterious bowl up onto the roof have now stopped as I continue the cycle of yoghurt making using the heat of the Chadian sun.
