A few of my favourite things (in Chad)

Sunsets in N’djamena as the dust rises at the end of a hot day.
The men weaving colourful chairs on the side of the road near the office.
Watching the local boys play football on my afternoon walk.
Seeing a well-dressed Chadian woman riding her motorbike side-saddle so as not to crease her skirt.
Being followed by a little girl with a huge cooking pot on her head calling out ‘lapia’ (hello) as I head out on a walk.
The colourful headscarves and skirts of the women as they walk side by side on their way to market.
The bright red of the ‘flame trees’ that line the road outside.
The lizards hopping along over the hot sand beneath their feet.
Star Bucks. A chinese restaurant nearby….
